The Prosper Police Department (PPD) announces the launch of the Prosper Community Crime Map, an innovative tool designed to empower both law enforcement and the community in visualizing and understanding crime patterns within Prosper, Texas.

The Prosper Community Crime Map is a user-friendly platform offering comprehensive insights into where, when and what types of crimes have occurred within the area. This tool will help provide historical crime data further cultivating transparency.

This initiative exemplifies the Prosper Police Department’s commitment to transparency and safety throughout the community. The Community Crime Map allows residents to access vital information about crime activity in their neighborhoods, enabling them to stay informed and take proactive measures to enhance their safety.

Key features of the Prosper Community Crime Map include:

  • The types of incidents covered by the Community Crime Map include burglaries, thefts, assaults, traffic incidents and drug apprehensions, among others.
  • Basic mapping, dashboards and analytics for easy visualization of crime trends.
  • Data compilation from law enforcement agencies to provide comprehensive insights.
  • Removal of private information to ensure confidentiality and privacy.
  • Exclusion of sensitive information such as incidents involving juvenile victims or sexual offenses.
